As the viewer’s gaze moves further into the painting, they are met with a series of intricate and delicate details that reveal themselves upon closer inspection. Using abstraction art techniques, he attempts to connects one to the paths of awakenings through a meditative understanding of every aspect of our living beyond received and decipherable grids of languages, signs, iconographies – both textual and visual. Unknown and visceral, abstraction acquires momentous space with a sense of immense tranquility treading new paths of aesthetic experience.
It is also evident from artist’s withdrawing from the use of pigments or representative forms and motifs. These color palettes used seem to symbolize the purity and transcendence of the spiritual realm. The collages are steps of realizations, beyond the meanings that we create. The artist carves out his memoirs with layers of paper overlapping each other.
Poetic Reminiscences is the expression of the artist’s need for abstraction as he questions the epistemology of rationality. The exhibition experiments with space, it is an ode to an other-worldly pilgrimage through submerged planes – it coaxes one to introspect and perhaps, transcend dimensions.
Overall, his work is a powerful representation of the pure realizations that can come from a spiritual experience and has captured the sense of other-worldliness that accompanies such an experience, and has taken the viewer on a journey that is both mysterious and enlightening.
