Windows Of The Soul : A Painting Exhibition By Deepali Deshpande

Deepali Deshpande is an architect by education and the 2004 Athens Olympian and Asian Championships silver medalist in rifle shooting category. Here, we had a chance to explore yet another surprising aspect of her talent and needless to say that she again fully justified in her this new attempt.

She showcased her series of portrait artworks in her first solo exhibition at Nine Fish art Gallery (Mumbai). Her portraits artworks are a stunning display of innocence, captured with raw imagery. Every brush stroke reveals a deep understanding of the subject, and a profound sensitivity to the emotions they convey.

The use of color is especially striking. Her ability to capture the innocence is particularly evident in her use of light and shadow, which serves to highlight the softness and delicacy of her subjects’ features. Each shade and hue is carefully chosen to enhance the emotional impact of the piece, and to highlight the unique qualities of the subject. In each piece, the she manages to evoke a sense of timelessness, as if the subject has been frozen in a moment that will last forever. Her artworks are just stunning, with an almost ethereal quality that leaves the viewer mesmerized.

Her artworks stand as a testament to the power of art to capture and preserve moments of beauty and raw emotion.
