INDIA ART FESTIVAL – Mumbai 2018 : Ms. Vidhi C Parekh
Ms. Vidhi is a self-taught professional artist from Rajkot. In her recent solo exhibition at India Art Festival – Mumbai edition held between 15th-18th February 2018, she exhibited her collections, which were extremely experimental. An advocate of modern art, she loves exploring different mediums like charcoal, tissue paper, canvas, paper, oil and acrylic. Although her work is never confined in a particular theme but, each artwork is a unique piece and is the result of her momentary impulse.
Her ‘Hiding Face’ artwork is a story of a last person left on earth and earth is going to come to an end and that person is going on Mars. In many of her artworks she judiciously use the mix-media techniques; in her ‘Dreaming Girl’ painting she used tissue paper with acrylic where as in ‘Three Faces’ she used Paper and Acrylic.
