INDIA ART FESTIVAL – Mumbai 2018 : Ms. Deepali Sarde
We are living in a society surrounded with many facts…. expressive and non-expressive environment. In the male dominated society, many times the emotions of women are overshadowed. The artist’s collection poetically gives us a glimpse of such emotional melodrama which a woman in India goes through in her life every now and then. Her theme is women and its situation.
In each artwork her core subject is face of a woman with a distinct expression. She chooses very familiar elements like tree, butterfly, lord Radha Krishna, leaf etc. But the way she used these elements in her composition to depict the ’emotions of a women’ (happiness, wait, love, depression etc.). Her core theme is simple yet impactful. The play of bright and contrast colours add lots of drama to her artistic expression.
