Kala Godha Arts Festival – 2018 : Rishikesh Potdar – “Paper Arts”

What can you imagine about a computer engineer turning to be an Artist…off course an Extreme Engineering…. its true and in first glance it becomes almost impossible to believe that even the childhood paper cutting trick can be used to create an amazing piece of art.

Artist Rishikesh Potdar is a superb example of one such kind. The only artist in the world to perform “live paper cutting art”. He has done more than 150 live “Speed Paper Cutout” performances throughout India and Abroad. He was the Semi Finalist in a Famous TV show “India’s Got Talent Season 5”.

His works are “simple to so intricate” and has successfully able to come with “7 layers of handmade cut outs” that creates wonders under light.  His team members include Aveena Bharuka (an architect and interior) and Aiswarya Krishnan (a self taught artist).

His artwork subject includes “Jungle Life”, “Indian Gods”, “Travel Stories” and Portraits.
