Windows Of The Soul : A Painting Exhibition By Sanjay Ghagare
The natural world is infinitely complex and adaptable, and the more we try to shape it to our will, the more it resists our efforts. Sanjay Ghagare’s recent solo painting exhibition at Nine Fish Art Gallery (Mumbai), portrays the intricate relationship between humans and nature, highlighting the concept of versatility and the pursuit of perfection.
The artist captures the beauty of nature and its ever-changing forms, while also exploring the human desire to tame and control it.
We see a flow that echoes the dynamic forces of nature and at the same time, there is a sense of the interconnectedness in the painting, a sense that we are always striving for something that we can never fully attain. The search for perfection is a noble pursuit, but it can also be a trap, leading us to overlook the beauty and imperfection that surrounds us.
The usage of figurative art techniques and application of bold colors palette convey the energy and vitality of nature, while the juxtaposition of different elements in a stylized form- such as bird, fish, sky, cups etc. evokes a sense of harmony and balance. The human eye remains the key element in all the artworks and very effectively highlights the conflicting human minds. The delicate lines and strokes used in each piece work together to create a stunningly realistic portrayal of the subject, while simultaneously conveying the raw emotion and vulnerability that lies just beneath the surface.
Overall, his paintings are powerful reminder of the complex relationship between humans and nature, a search for perfection and better life and of the ongoing struggle to find our place in the world.
