Mind Page 23 : A Group art Exhibition by Mr. Prabin Kumar Nath
Sarbhog, Assam, may be a tranquil town nestled in the heart of nature, but it is also home to one of India’s most renowned artists, Mr. Prabin Kumar Nath.
His recent exhibition held at the prestigious Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai, between 29th August and 4th September 2023, marked the fourth group exhibition of his career, alongside the talented artists Manika Devi and Aditi Chakravarti. Mr. Nath’s art is a manifestation of spontaneous emotions inspired by the beauty of nature and its organic forms. Choosing the path of abstraction, he skillfully transforms simple shapes into a surreal and imaginative world on his canvas.
What makes his artistic process truly remarkable is that it all unfolds without any premeditation or predetermined color schemes or images. His creativity flows freely and organically, mirroring the ever-changing patterns of the natural world.
The medium of choice for Mr. Nath’s creations is acrylic on canvas, a versatile combination that allows him to capture the vibrancy and depth of his subjects with unparalleled precision. Each brushstroke is a dance between his emotions and the canvas, giving life to his unique artistic vision.
Through his artworks, Mr. Nath gives his audience a chance to immerse in the untamed spirit of nature. His paintings transport viewers to an ethereal realm where colors blend seamlessly, and forms evolve organically but still being abstract. It’s an experience that resonates with the soul and reminds us of the limitless beauty that surrounds us.
Mr. Nath’s dedication to his craft and his ability to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary have firmly established him as a leading artist in the Indian art scene. With each stroke of his brush, he invites us to see the world through his eyes, to appreciate the wonder of nature’s creations, and to embrace the spontaneity of life itself.
