Mr. Madan Lal, is a very senior artist based out of Chandigarh. In his recent solo Art Exhibition titled “Codes of Color”, he showcased his wide range of artworks namely- Immigration, The Prayer, The Triangle, Urban Phulkari (Flowers), The Pink, Swings of Rain, Music Within, Urban Emotion, Urban Phulkari, Swing 2, City Scape, The Bull, Red Windows, The Frame.
Mr. Madan has a very distinctive style of his own. He amazingly juxtaposes the figurative art technique and geometric forms in a way to create highly immersive and aesthetically balanced visual art piece. He masters, when it comes to using very common elements in a very uncommon way and taking to the level of making it the inseparable part of the composition.
In one of his artworks “The Prayer 2”, he used innocence of a goat’s eyes and depicted in a meditational form. Goat has an unpredictable life. The animal knows the fact it has born only to die. But, still there is no fear of death in its eyes. It has a message that enjoy every moment of your life. Similarly, in the other artworks, he has used Bull, Hen, Parrots etc. with great sensibilities that adds depth to his subject. The artwork “Swings” takes you into the journey of human desires, relations and communication.
Every artwork has a deep meaning to it and takes the viewers into a multi-layered dramatic environment.
