Shantaram Belkar At ARTIVAL Art Event (23rd-25th NOVEMBER, 2018) : World Trade Centre, Mumbai
SHANTARAM BELKAR exhibited Eight Artworks at his recent art exhibition – Artival in Mumbai namely : Mindscape – Something Cooking in Mind, Jocker with Empty Space, Bike Stand First, Bike Stand -Second, Black Ocean meets Blue Ocean, Leadership – A tribute to Picasso and Model with Space. He is a firm believer of Abstract Art and once again he has proved himself. Every composition is balanced in all respect and has a deep meaning to it. As a viewer you get completely immersed and you feel like each composition starts narrating the mysteries that it has within.
Mindscape – Something Cooking in Mind is inspired by the ‘heightened state of sensual pleasure’ using male and female genetical organs in the abstract form as a core of this composition. Jocker with Empty Space highlights the emptiness in a Jocker’s life. Jocker -an important character, in almost every circus, that adds a charm on to its audience’s face. What about his own life. The artwork gives a view of the darker, suffering side of that important character who makes people laugh but is sad within. Bike Stand First and Second won the Art Society of India by Goan Art Academy. Model with Space is about the emotions, fear that every model has when she first time walks on stage.
