Lakme Fashion Week – Winter Festive 2018 : Lars Andersson, a Swedish Designer falls in love with the Indian Khadi
Until his visit to India in 2016 to be the part of Rajasthan Heritage week, Lars Andersson had never expected that he will totally fall in love with rich Indian Handloom Textiles. A highly experienced knitwear designer from Sweden who also studied design at FIT- New York, holds a vast international industry exposure. A native of Sweden, Lars launched his line in Brooklyn, New York and recently relocated the business to London. His journey as designer has seen lots of hard times including American Recession in 2008. His strong determination and calibre helped him to sail through the rough sea.
On 23rd August 2018, he got an opportunity to showcase his collection (10 looks) made from Indian Handloom Fabrics at Lakme Fashion Week 2018 winter Festive as a part of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) KHADIGOESCHIC.
“It was an incredible opportunity that KVIC gave me. The Indian Handloom Fabrics are amazing.” The designer says.
About the Winter Festive 2018 Collection: The silhouettes are modern and playful. He has very nicely tried to create a balance between masculinity and femininity. He creates contemporary knitwear that exudes luxury both aesthetically and tactilely.
