InventHelp Inventor Develops New Tool for Removing the Outer Coating on Cables MBQ-535

PITTSBURGH, July 18, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — “I’m a utility worker, and I needed a better way to cut and remove the rubberized insulation outer coating of larger and underground cables,” said an inventor, from Bronx, N.Y., “so I invented THE LOBSTER CLAW. My design eliminates the need for additional tools, and it would remove the outer coating in an easy, efficient, and safe manner.”

The patent-pending invention provides a special handheld tool for removing the outer protective coating of large cables. In doing so, it would combine the benefits of both a cable ringer tool and a hooked skinning knife. As a result, it saves time and effort, and it increases safety and convenience. The invention features an ergonomic design that is easy to use so it is ideal for utility companies and contractors who install/connect large cables. Additionally, a prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.

The original design was submitted to the Manhattan sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
