Graduate Talent Show – Maitreyi Joshi : School of Fashion Technology – Pune

The designer Maitreyi Joshi is an alumni of School of Fashion Technology, Pune. Her graduating collection’s theme was “THE BRIGADE”.  A true Avant Garde collection that amazingly combines military influence with street sensibilities. Oversized volumes and proportions, slashed detailing using metallic zippers, quilting effects, falling tapes and embroidered patches all over and not to forget the most important feature, the pockets together created a strong and bold look.

The pockets were used as a key element through exploration in sizing and repetition. The colours used were deep olive, orange, black and pink. 

No doubt the collection in all aspects was a truly of international level that we occasionally get to see from an Indian budding designer.

The designer is based out Pune and is about to start her creative journey by launching her own label “VAJOOD”. Through her label, she aims to bring a difference in people’s lives.
